Best Anime of 2014!
It is now the passing of another year and time for every anime critic’s favorite part of the year (not really), listing off the best and worst anime this year! Overall, this year has actually been a little bit of a step up compared to 2013. Wouldn’t necessarily call it a magnificent outing, but there have been some significant shows that are worthy of being crowned best all year round. Most of the categories haven’t changed since 2013’s list, with only a few minor iterations to fit 2014 more closely and decided to do only one runner up rather than two in each category.

But we all know why: they want to appeal to what is popular and cash in on it. Unfortunately, that cash grab is more diminutive than fruitful from how seemingly transparent these elements give off in these shows and nowhere near is this evident than in Sora No Woto.

Continuing a beloved series and making it better can be a challenging task to take. This is not much of a problem for anime that are step-by-step adaptations of any source medium. Spice and Wolf, if you don’t know, is one series that won me over from the previous season. Likewise, I was hoping that this 2nd season would have the same positive impact that the 1st season did on me. While it is not better than the first season in many aspects, it possesses the same fascinating qualities that the 1st season had, with a few improvements to the original.
