PART 2!
Shadows House

An intriguing concept for an anime both in terms of story and artistic ideas. I find it odd that this is being tagged as a slice of life show when it isn’t in the slightest. Admittedly, the last few episodes didn’t live up to the story build-up of the previous episodes but it doesn’t deter the quality too much for an eventual sequel.

SSSS.DYNAZENON

This is basically no different than Gridman in terms of quality characters and story. It doesn’t try too hard to be poignant or unique in the mecha genre, which might leave some people to be apathetic towards it. But it was good enough for Trigger to keep churning out more entertaining anime and less mediocre schlock.
Grade: B
Dr. STONE: STONE WARS

A sequel to the anime explaining why science rules. Hooray!

EX-ARM

Truly an abominable piece of media I’ve ever seen in the history of man. Say what you will about stuff like Pupa or Mars of Destruction but those were small bits of fecal matter on a field of toilet paper. This was a tsunami of shit that managed to engulf the field and stays that way for a century.
Grade: F———–
Hataraku Saibou!!

Super cute idea for a comedy anime that educates through zany situations involving cells of the body. Osmosis Jones ain’t got nothing on this.
Grade: B+
Hataraku Saibou BLACK

While I would not say this is a disappointment, I feel like this type of tonal shift to an action-oriented drama wasn’t as memorable as its comedic counterpart.
Grade: B-
Horimiya

Even with it’s stellar artistic merits wasn’t enough to save it from its vomit-inducing romance story. Seriously, every overly dramatic melodrama pours out between these characters you couldn’t care less what happens to them.
Grade: C-
Kemono Jihen

Time to put another one in the basket of shounen shows that get a bunch of hype that underwhelmed me.
Grade: C
Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu + S2

I’m sure people had been wanting my take on this on a separate review. But honestly, despite the whole nothing controversy involving the protagonist being a lecherous pig to girls half his age, there wasn’t much to go on other than it’s an isekai anime that happens to be fun. Despite the fact that I enjoyed it, I’m still kind of confused on why this has been getting a whole bunch of buzz. But hey, I’m not complaining much.

Non Non Biyori: Nonstop

More Non Non Biyori, less problems in life.

Ore dake Haireru Kakushi Dungeon

Only came in for the hot blonde ponytailed waifu. Gotta keep my priorities in check.

Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu 2nd Season Part 2

Our boy finally getting his dues paid off in the end. Got to respect that.

Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season

Please I want this to be over quickly. For all of us non-manga readers, for the love of god.
Grade: A-
SK∞

I almost wanted to give this show a 1 when i found out the title meant Skate with an 8 sideways as infinity. It made me feel retarded and I hate when an anime does that. But hey, the show is stylized as fuck so I have to at least keep my integrity somewhat in check.
Grade: B
Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken 2nd Season

My boy slime going full-on genocidal on those motherfuckers who did his comrades wrong. *Soviet Union Anthem Plays*

Wonder Egg Priority

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I don’t think I could ever think of an anime that fell so harder than this one in recent memory. Many will say Neverland Season 2 but at least that had one good season into a trash one. This was literally in 6 episodes before it came crashing down so bad they had to do one-hour special that was one-half recap and one mess of a conclusion. Goes to show you can’t trust a director who only directs J-dramas to be in charge of an anime.
Grade: C-
Yakusoku no Neverland 2

Speaking of disasters, this one takes the cake for the biggest of the year. Wonder Egg might’ve been more disastrous in that it had potential but Neverland is so much worse in that it goes beyond just being a jumbled mess of an adaptation. It would make later seasons of Highschool DxD and Tokyo Ghoul look more competent to their source material and that’s saying something.
Grade: D
Jujutsu Kaisen

I didn’t love it quite as much as everyone else did but I still thought it was a blast of fun action and characters. Maybe once the 2nd season comes along, the story will finally have its hooks in me.
Grade: B+
Yuru Camp△ SEASON 2

This is my anime of the year by far. An anime that manages to be the comfiest for me in the most hectic of times is a great success. I wasn’t completely won over from the first season but now I’m a full-blown Yuru Camp fanatic and I await its continuation until the very end.
