Triage X Review

El-anime-de-Triage-X-nos-muestra-su-nueva-imagen-promocional

I wanted a fun fanservice anime to help embellish my ecchi bone like I am always known to do. Is this too much to ask for? Is it hard to make a fanservice anime that is fun? Unfortunately yes. I don’t deny the tough task of trying to make a fun anime that can please many people. However, when it is obvious that the writers did not give this thing the time of day that it desperately needed from how it is presented, there is no excuse to justify laziness of this magnitude.

Gangsta. Review

It’s not often you see an anime putting its setting into uncharted territory. It is a welcoming addition to the constant routine of anime studios just churning out shows that present a Japanese environment so that a Japanese audience can be easily engaged. With a unique setting backed by an equally impressive title, Gangsta, that will at least be an excellent first impression going into it. When Gangsta was over, what came through my mind was how much of a great thrill ride it was, except for the bumpy journey that was part of it.

Fate Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works Review

Fate-Stay-Night-Unlimited-Blade-Works-00-Subtitle-Indonesia

Treading on the dark abyss can be an enormous task to take. It is a never-ending ride that can only be described in the most torturous terminology. This abyss that I am telling formed around 2006 by the name of Fate Stay Night. Not the visual novel, mind you, but the adaptation of one of the routes contained in it. It is called an abyss because it was hated by almost everybody and their mother with its boring and mind-numbingly boring presentation. All it would take to rationalize the problem is to realize that Type-Moon was lazy with giving its adaptation in the hands of a studio that probably didn’t have the authenticity it needed to showcase the grand scale of the Fate series. It only took Type-Moon nearly ten years to revitalize this by going on a different route with Unlimited Blade Works.

DanMachi Review

hestia_2

With an absurdly long title such as “Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?” your first inclination is to think that the show is trying too hard to pander from just the title alone. With Romance, Fantasy, Action, and Comedy spliced in with an element of Harem, your anticipation going into this will probably sink into apathy. But fret not, my dear friends, this anime, shortly titled DanMachi, actually has much more to offer than your prototypical otaku bait anime. If you think a story is essential in anime, that fits this description.

Akame ga Kill Review

Akame.(Akame.ga.Kill!).full.1742611

Pushing the edge of violent carnage is not something we often see in anything these days, and for a good reason. They are criticized as a mishandled and cheap way to distract us from the inconsistencies in the writing and characters. The only problem with that argument is that these days, animation studios edit any blood on most action anime to appease higher BD sales. Now, when you have an anime like Akame ga Kill to do away with that, it is a refreshing mix into the blender, even if the overall taste may be lukewarm.
